Ages 7-12. | Mon-Thurs: July 18-21 and August 15-18 | 9:30AM-12:30PM
Darien’s history will come alive for campers who, in a relaxing environment, will create several engaging projects inspired by exploring our museum and exhibitions. Each week will be led by a museum educator and visiting artist and campers will have time outdoors to play old-fashioned games before returning home with their own “masterpieces”. Campers will be inspired by history while learning to craft handmade paper, write with quills & ink, and sculpt pots and vases out of clay! The colonial herb and flower garden and colorful quilts from the museum’s collection will inspire crafting natural dyes and botanical prints on fabric to complete a sewing project. Fee per week: Members: $180; Non-Members: $190. Register at museumofdarien.org or call (203) 655-9233. The Museum of Darien is located at 45 Old Kings Highway, Darien.
