We are looking for volunteers to help students write thank you notes over their lunch hour Tuesday-Friday. If you are available to help, please sign-up here.
Please be on the lookout for “Kindness Bingo Cards” in your child’s folder. These do not need to be returned to school, but we encourage you to have fun with them at home and hope they inspire conversations about the various ways you can be kind and thoughtful.
The halls of Hindley will be decorated with Kindness Flowers that the children have been working on and we will have a Kindness Week Kick Off during lunch periods on Monday 2/10. During lunch throughout the rest of the week students will have the opportunity to write thank you cards to people in the community.
Mr. Duff has set aside a wonderful assortment of books about kindness in the school library. Please encourage your child to swing by and check some out or send your mystery readers over to pick up a few.
A huge thanks to Ms. Turschmann and the morning announcements team for focusing on kindness. Teachers and staff have been jotting down the kind moments they have witnessed for our “Caught Being Kind Board” outside the cafeteria and we are thankful for the time they have taken to do this.
In a world where you can be anything, be kind.
Thanks for helping make Hindley such a kind community.
