Hats for Hope | March 27th

Hats for Hope is a program where your students and faculty contribute $1.00 (or more) to wear a hat to school – helping to create a culture of giving back to the community while having fun! Hindley Elementary has decided to join the Darien schools in the District to have our Hats for Hope day on Thursday, March 27. On this day, everyone should wear a hat to school! We will be using this link to accept online donations: Hindley Elementary Fundraising Link. Cash may be donated only on March 27. Students should give the cash to their classroom teacher, who will then bring the money to the office for collection.

To incentivize participants, Tommy Fund offers prizes for each individual fundraiser (hats, shirts, etc). To create your individual fundraising page, select the “Join Our School” button on the Hindley page.

The Tommy Fund is also offering the chance to win an appearance by UConn Basketball this spring to the highest fundraising school overall throughout the year – so good luck and keep up your fundraising all year long through the end of April!

As you may know, the funds raised impact the children and their families being treated at the Tommy Fund Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Center at Smilow Cancer Hospital, Yale New Haven and its affiliates, both emotionally and financially. Thanks to the support, the Tommy Fund continues to offer the necessary programs and resources to families in need during such a critical time in their lives.
