Hello String Parents,
We are very excited to invite you to our first “String Showcase” on Monday, February 9 at 9:30am in the Common Room! (In case of a delay or cancellation on Monday, this event will be rescheduled for Tuesday, February 10th.)
Your child will need to arrive before school at 8:00 for tuning.
To ensure a fabulous concert, please make sure your child is practicing pp 4 -11 using the CD accompaniment in the Essential Elements 2000 book at least 50 minutes per week. Some students can already play these quite well, others are still struggling.
The concert attire is Dressy.
Boys: a collared shirt and tie, pants, dress shoes
Girls: blouse and skirt or pants/or a dress, dress shoes
Please, no sneakers, sweatpants or jeans. ( Your child may bring a change of clothes for after the concert, if they wish.)
This concert is designed to be educational. I will try to de-mystify the reasons for any unworldly sounds your child may be making and help you to help your child at home! The most important thing for your child right now is lots of repetition.
