TRAVEL
If your family has traveled outside of CT, NY, NJ or RI please:
- Email or call me so that we can talk through the CT Travel Advisory and measures to be taken before returning to school to keep all safe.
- You have 3 choices post travel.
- Your child can have a COVID-19 Rapid/Antigen test (scan and email results to ligrant@darienps.org).
- Your child can have a COVID-19 PCR test (this test can take a few days and we will have remote learning in place until results can be scanned and emailed to ligrant@darienps.org).
- Your child can quarantine at home for 10 days with remote learning in place.
MY CHILD IS SICK
COVID-19 has so many symptoms as we all know by now. It’s difficult to differentiate when a child is sick with a common childhood illness such as a stomach bug or common cold. If your child is not feeling well, please call the health office to discuss symptoms and next steps. We’re in this together! We’re seeing a few stomach viruses lately as well as common colds, the phone conversation helps figure things out to keep all safe here at school.
MY CHILD HAD A COVID-19 TEST
If your child has been tested for COVID-19 please call/email me-Your child must stay home until you can turn in the results. Remote learning will be set up. -results can be scanned and emailed to me ligrant@darienps.org or faxed 03-656-9607
MY CHILD HAS BEEN NAMED A CONTACT
If your child has been in contact with someone who has tested positive (parent, relative, friend, teammate, extracurricular activity contact, neighbor, playdate etc) PLEASE CONTACT THE HEALTH OFFICE! We will talk through the contact and quarantine time frame. Remote learning will be in place during quarantine.
