Edible Valentines Class

Date: February 12th, 2024

Description: Create edible masterpieces that can be eaten at home or taken to school and passed out to classmates!  Chef Lisa will have 20 cookies per child that will be decorated by your child with a variety of frosting, sprinkles and candies.  All supplies will be provided. Don’t wait, register today

Winter Break Camp: Fairytales and Recipes

Dates: February 19th-February 23rd

Time: 10am-2pm

Location: Weed Beach Paddle Hut

Cost: $480/resident, $576/non-resident
Description: This Winter Break Camp is for grades Kindergarten-Sixth aspiring chefs. This week is all about having fun and being creative with words and food. The first day is planned, but all the other days after that will be tailored to fit the participants’ abilities and interests. The campers will spend each day making their own lunch and creating their own cookbook to take home at the end of the week.  All recipes, ingredients, and equipment will be provided. Don’t wait, register today

March Programs with openings at Parks and Rec:

March 1st start date: Instructors from Candlewood Fencing will cover the basics of fencing footwork, bladework and bouting tactics. Students will improve their speed, reaction time and fence competitive bouts every day!

All A-Bout Fencing – Ages 6-9

All A-Bout Fencing – Ages 10-14

March 4th start date: This class is open to Kindergarten-6th Grade aspiring chefs. The chefs will visit Japan, Italy, China and Mexico via their taste buds. They will make and eat the cuisines of those four countries. Any leftovers will come home.

Sprout Chefs – International Cooking Class

March 5th start date: Beginning students can expect to work on chords, popular songs and melodies. This program is also perfect for vocal students who want to accompany themselves or begin writing their own songs. Each class will blend musicianship and fun, making sure students are challenged with learning new techniques or learning a fun song or riff.

Ukulele – Ages 5-8 Beginner

Ukulele, Ages 5-8 Level II & Ages 9-15 Beginner

March 13th start date: **New with Legacy Martial Arts of Darien! Join our fun and educational beginner classes presented by Legacy Martial Arts of Darien. During this six-week program, students will be introduced to punches, kicks, strikes, and combinations.

Martial Arts Karate Program – Ages 3-6

March 26th: Join us for this Spring holiday egg-shaped cake decorating class and create a masterpiece to celebrate the long awaited arrival of spring!

Sprout Chefs Egg Cake Decorating

March 29th: The SproutChefs will break into three groups and spend the day creating their own fresh handmade pasta lunches. After lunch, they will share what they liked best about each group’s creations. Their selection of ingredients will be seasonal and fresh, except for optional cans of tomato sauce.
